  1. Sorry to hear about that. My mother had skin cancer removed from her face last week, so I can understand. Family takes precedent, so no need to explain. Take care and talk soon.

P.S. I hope all are well otherwise at your home.

    1. Hi!

We made it. I think everyone is fine, now. Hopefully, things will settle back into place before too long. I was able to work on some books during this time, so I’ll start announcing them before long. Thanks!

  2. I LIKE this, Laura! How did you manage to transfer everything to this blog? I ask this because (1) I am curious, and (2) because I might want to do it soon as well.

    By the way, welcome back.

As for me, I have been busy, but I intend to respond to “Old Tom” and a couple of other posts soon. Wait for it.

    Take care for now.

    1. Hi! Thank you. I hope to get back into regular posting asap.

I had an extra domain (this one) and I’ve just never really found a good use for it. I figured I’d just move my blog over and see how that did. It’s been pretty good. It’s very different, so I’m getting used to that. I had to get a new design because my old one wouldn’t let me customize it, since it’s an independent hosted blog. I like the one I found though, so that wasn’t a big deal. You have to install plugins for a lot of the features on the free one, like for publicize, but really the plugins are free. I think it’s just a matter of getting adjusted to it more than anything. I do like the idea of being able to run Adsense and use Amazon ads though. Also, having a shorter domain name. I think I’ve also had many more hits just so far, as opposed to a WordPress-hosted blog, so that’s good.

Actually, your free blog has a feature called “Export” on your dashboard, you just export your blog content, set up your new domain and install wordpress, and “Import” into it. It’s very easy. I thought it would be much more difficult.

      Laura
