There is a legend in certain Southern Appalachian forests of a sinister lady who lives in remote locations. Sure lures people, particularly men, to come and look for her with a beautiful song.
When the unsuspecting individual arrives where she is, they are driven mad.
Does this entity hail from Greece? Believe it or not, the Cherokee Indians had their own version of what was once considered a deity in Greek mythology. Ewah is a forest demon who’s purpose is to drive victims mad.
Some places have grown more creative with the story and she not only drives the victim mad, but steals their liver as well.
